2027: Politicians Plotting Against Tinubu Are Out of Their Depth, Says Alawuje

The National Coordinator of the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), a prominent support group from the 2023 elections, Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, has labeled politicians attempting to form coalitions to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election as inexperienced and misguided.

Speaking at an event focused on the upcoming 2027 general elections, organized by Tinubu’s supporters in Zaria, Alawuje asserted that when it comes to navigating the path to the 2027 polls, only President Tinubu possesses the necessary expertise. He warned that many of his rivals risk failing spectacularly due to their lack of strategic insight.

In his address, Alawuje described the current political landscape as chaotic, with what he called “novice players” hastily assembling alliances without a clear vision. “We are seeing a spectacle of disarray,” he said. “These political newcomers, mere learners in the game, are positioning themselves as viable alternatives to proven leaders. They grasp the wheel of ambition but have no map of the road ahead.”

He went on to caution that by 2027, these efforts would likely falter against the demands of seasoned governance. “Politics isn’t about making noise; it’s about mastering the landscape, connecting with the people, and forging lasting impacts,” Alawuje emphasized. He likened ideologically weak coalitions to “a ship adrift without a compass,” destined to founder under pressure.

Addressing the coalition builders directly, Alawuje urged honesty with their followers. “You know, as we all do, that no force can derail Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s progress—not in 2027, especially as his foundational work begins to yield results,” he stated. He pointed out that some critics had once been allies, benefiting from Tinubu’s mentorship, only to pursue personal gain at the expense of shared legacy.

Using vivid metaphors, Alawuje compared Tinubu to an unstoppable force, saying, “No barrier can halt the elephant from crossing the river, unless it wishes to be carried away by the current.” He criticized empty rhetoric, adding, “Stop overwhelming the public with hollow promises and ambitions without substance. God designed the ant without wings for a purpose—if it had them, we’d never find peace. Some are trying to fly when they weren’t meant to.”

Alawuje portrayed Tinubu not just as a politician, but as a foundational figure in Nigerian politics—a mentor across ethnic lines and a champion of inclusive governance. “Even his detractors are, in some way, shaped by his influence,” he noted.

Concluding his remarks, Alawuje declared unwavering support for Tinubu’s vision. “In 2027, we’re not merely protecting a presidency; we’re upholding a vision and movement that started before 2023 and will endure beyond it. Let the amateurs continue their studies and the imposters their acts. When the people vote, their choice will resound clearly: Tinubu moves forward.”
